One of the best things about the rev-up is that it draws together such a diverse group of riders from all kinds of backgrounds- many of whose paths would never typically cross, and one of the most pleasant things to witness is the realization that they all get along with eachother. The routes are a perfect blend of roads to suit riders from novice to advanced levels, and also show what a spectacular country we live in.

One of the charities we support is Down Syndrome Ireland. We run a Charity.GP event and auction on their behalf at the Valencia MotoGP.
This weekend we are delighted to support and join them for a great fundraising ride for the charity. This is a 1000km run starting and finishing in Dublin 3-5 May, We invite you to join us on the event. You will meet our staff and about 200 supporters, including some of the people whose lives you are enhancing.
This is a great weekend with special prizes and auctions and fun each night; special guests; and a chance to help a very important charity. .
Sincerely
Gordon Howell,

“What does a not-for-profit organisation have in common with the MotoGP?
Not much, unless the organisation is Down Syndrome Ireland.
In the world of MotoGP, success is not only measured by championship points, increased horsepower and split-second qualifying times, but also by the dedication and co-operation of the team behind the rider – those guys and girls in the pit and paddock and back at home-base behind desks and in front of computer screens who make it all work. It’s the efforts of many that bring about good for one – which in turn contributes to the unbridled joy of fans worldwide.
Working with Down Sydnrome Ireland we have been thrilled to witness this same dedication and co-operation of a slickly-oiled machine whose purpose is to give the gift of a bright and independent future to people with Down syndrome. We have been in the MotoGP paddock for many years, and would even go as far as to say that if Down Syndrome Ireland were to enter a race team in the MotoGP they’d cause more than a few headaches for some teams!
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Down Syndrome Ireland for many years to come, and are excited about participating in the Run for DSI with other motorcycle riders who will share their passion and abilities in riding motorcycles to bring awareness to such a hardworking and organisation that brings about positive outcomes for special people.”

First time participant in Rev-up (2008) 1400K’s in three days, some of the best scenery there is to be seen and an almost perfectly planned route. My wife came as a pillion and the two of us had a blast. A great feeling of commeraderie during the whole event with people stopping to help others out or point them in the right direction. Highly recommended for a great weekend.
