Rev-up4DSI 06 review
July 23rd, 2008Well folks we did it, and guess what? We are doing it again !
Rev-Up4DSI 2 kicks off on the May bank holiday (5th-7th) 2007. For those who didn’t participate in the first run here is a brief outline of what we did…
Saturday 29th of April we set off from Joe Duffy’s BMW showrooms at the Finglas roundabout and taking in Cavan, Enniskillen, Manorhamilton, Sligo and Galway city we arrived in Salthill to a tremendous reception. After dinner and a few drinks “most people” had an early ish night.
Sun 30th April. Leaving Galway (seen off by TG4) we headed for Cork via Doolin, Ennis, Limerick and Killarney taking in some truly breathtaking if a bit damp (to put it mildly) scenery. After our parade through we headed back to the Silver Springs Hotel for dinner and our awards ceremony where a great night was had by all with most people leaving with prizes.
Monday 1st saw us leaving Cork for Dublin via Waterford, Kilkenny and Kildare. We gathered at Stewarts hospital Palmerstown for the last leg of the journey. Under Garda escort we did a lap of the Phoenix Park one hundred bikes in convoy with lights flashing and horns blaring all the way to the Papal cross where we were met by all our families and supporters.
“WE SHARED THE JOURNEY”
